January 17th, 2008 - So...
...we're also liars. We're doing another *last* show in Clearwater, FL on Feburary 23rd since we got offered a semi-hefty sum of money to do it. We're donating all of our profits to a non-profit organization called the Children's Home Society of Florida. Children's Home Society provides shelter & support and foster care for abused and neglected children among a host of other great services. Check out their website for more info. Thanks for reading and we hope to see some familiar faces in a month. It's also Pick's birthday that day, so bring a pie to throw at him ;)
November 12th, 2007 - Last will & testament...
Wow, we did a crappy job updating this after our last show. We have all been busy working on other projects and I have honestly been meaning to post this for 2-3 months now. You can check a preview of the DVD for the last show on YouTube (I will be putting a higher-quality version on here in the future). None of us have any clue when it will be coming out, but Charles is releasing it at Get Outta Town Records and our friend Phil is working on it on his nights off from bullfighting at the local coliseum. Here's something we wrote to thank everyone for their support...
After two years, four tours, three records, two destroyed vans and one life-threatening accident - it's finally over. While that may seem like the average life-span, tour regiment & number of releases for any hardcore band, we managed to make the most of it and have as much fun as possible while it lasted. Through our tenure as a band, we managed to make some incredible friends, share stages with bands we've been listening to for the last ten years, and become better people.
To all of our tourmates - Team Effort, Wake Up Call, Expired Youth, On the Outside, Cruel Hand, Bishop & Barriers Now Bridges - THANK YOU so much for your inspiration, friendship and most importantly - sense of humor. Whether we were sleeping on a grassy knoll with bums outside city hall in Burlington, Vermont, shooting off fireworks in the van while talking Jawbreaker, gettin sketched out by glory holes in Kentucky, discussing classic stage moves such as "the shovel", or simply yellin 'Mike C'isms to passerbys on a mountain in New York - these are things that stick in our mind, keep us laughing, and make up some of the best times of our lives. Every moment and kind face is appreciated. This band has been our the source of our greatest joys over the last two years.
If you happened to be at our last show in Orlando, FL, then you can relate when we say it was our absolute best set ever. Despite some unexpected "blackouts", the energy levels never dropped below an 11. We were lucky enough to have some friends tape the entire set and are currently working on a DVD including tour footage. You can cop a peek at a preview here. Thanks to all who came out, lent their voices, dived from the stairs and lined the stage. To anyone who ever bothered listening to us - thank you. You are the reason we existed and we truly appreciate all you have done for us. The simplicity of these words will never do justice to how we feel as a band about the intensity of our own lyrics being screamed back at us from the front row of a VFW hall. At a time when we felt Florida was really lacking some oldschool, fun hardcore, we thought we'd be ignored, but much to our surprise, people listened and took our message to heart.
What is left in the demise of Make or Break you may be asking yourself? Well, Mike C has formed a band called Tigerstyle and is busy doing custom designs for any occasion as well as teaching underprivileged children the art of Greco-Roman wrestling. Mike Mosier is still teaching pottery at the local "Ceramixxx for Christ" union hall. Matt has decided to pursue his first and most cherished love, the theater. You may see him touring the UK with a rag tag group of miscreants known as The Second Street Improv and Glee. They are a musical comedy troop spreading the heritage of Native Americans through their jokes and magic tricks. Charles continues home laser hair removal for the homeless and runs Get Outta Town Records, his front for his pornography company. Charles, Mike Mosier and Matt have started (and ended!) Strike a Chord and have a demo out now. Charles and Matt are currently working on another project and will continue to update this site with info on that.
If one thing can be taken from what we were trying to do, it would be that anyone else can easily do the same thing. Please, start a band, book a show, write a zine, be active. You can change the world if you try.

July 3rd, 2007 - Significant Fest was a blast!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out. It was seriously incredible to be sharing a bill with such bands as Slapshot, 108, Killing Time and Uppercut. These bands had a huge influence on all of us and I got chills during a few of their sets (hard to imagine since it was a fucking blast furnace in the venue!). Despite the humid conditions, and nearly getting heat stroke after Slapshots set, I would say it was all worth it. Hanging out with our friends all weekend and getting to see our partners in crime Years From Now get such a great reaction was an awesome feeling.
I hope to see most everyone who was there at our Lakeland show this Friday!
April 9th, 2007 - Still a few shows to go...
The show this past Saturday in Lakeland was nothing short of amazing. We totally did not expect the reaction we got and were so happy to be playing with some of our best friends bands (Trample, Evasion, Gator Bait, etc). Be on the lookout for the new EP's coming out by both Evasion & Trample, as well as a demo by Gator Bait - they will all rule. Thank you so much to everyone who came out and shared the stage with us. Looking up and seeing the stage filled with our friends singing-along, doing constant stage dives & pile-ons is one of the best feelings. Props to AD and the other winner of the "Go Fuckin Nuts" contest. We've all agreed that it was the best show we've ever played and hope the next few shows go just as well.
April 6th, 2007 - FINAL Show Announcement
Anyone who was at our last show in Orlando heard the announcement that we will be playing our last show at Orlando's End of Summer Jam on August 24th, 2007. Due to everyone's increasingly demanding schedules, it would be impossible for us to keep pushing this band forward (ie, touring) as much as we all would like to. The only way I could see us continuing and being able to tour would be if we changed members. The main problem with that is we all contribute so much to this band, it would basically be a dick move to switch anyone out. We are all great friends and will remain that way. While it sounds cheesy, this band really became the force we are now when we had our current four members - Mike Mos, me, Charles & Mike C, at the helm and therefore changing this equation would probably cheat the music and each other. Believe me, there is nothing that all of us would rather do than tour, play shows, and hang out with all the nice people we meet on the road. Everyone who has sung along, dived or come up and spoken to us before and after shows, we can not thank you enough, you are the reason this band exists/existed as much as our love for the music is. Don't be too bummed if you plan on missing us, because there are sure to be some new projects forming from the ashes of MoB.
Speaking for myself, I can say that I am proud to have been a part of this band. One thing I am most proud of is that pretty much everywhere we went, we made friends. We never got involved in any 'drama in the scene' (sorry if that sounds cliche) because when it all boils down to it, none of the 15-year-old shit-talking really matters. Most of us have dealt with some hard times in our lives (I myself had a close death in the family around the time the band started) which has made me personally realize that we are only here for a short time on earth, so you might as well make the best of it. My goal from that point on was to go on the road and play as many shows as possible while I have the opportunity. I hope we made people realize that if you're paying $5-10 to get into a show, it would actually make sense if you watch all the bands you pay for and not just sit around talking on the internet (an amazing feat that could be done from the comforts of your own home!). Hardcore and punk, just like life, is what you make of it. Do what you want to do, we did. When we started, virtually no other bands within 12 hours of us played hardcore punk with a truly positive message (there were a few though!). A lot of people on our local messageboard complained about bands doing cover songs. We all love the music that inspires us, so we decided to rub it in their faces by playing at least 2 covers a night (sometimes up to 5 or 6). Personally, we all like when bands do cover songs, so why change our attitudes to try to please everyone else? As far as our own music goes, though most of the songs were rather simplistic in nature, each one of us cared about what we were saying. We put a lot of energy/aggression/emotion into the songs and were so surprised to see people singing along & dancing from our first show at Phil's house two years ago. Thanks to everyone who was there at the beginning, but more importantly, to those who are still here today. We really appreciate it and look forward to seeing you at the last few shows!
